The Subway Sessions
The Subway Sessions is a collection of musical compositions and arrangements created during my travels on the NYC Subway. I spend roughly 10 hours (at the very least) on the subway during the week. The majority of that time I am underground with no phone reception or Wi-Fi. Like most people, I do many things to pass the time while in transit. Read, write, listen to music/podcasts. But now with the power of technology I have a personal music studio in my phone! All of the pieces in this series are created using Garage Band on my iPhone 6s. These tracks are raw and unmastered. Straight from my phone to you.
Volume 1 focuses on one of my first passions: Video Game Music. It’s safe for me to say that I may not have become a composer if it was not for the impact that game music had on my young self. Here are some of my favorite video game tunes. Some are recreations (transcriptions, if you will), some are arrangements (or remixes), others fall somewhere in the middle and all of them are done 100% FROM MEMORY. So please forgive any mistakes! Enjoy!
